CTICE currently is developing programs to develop individual capability and promote the general prosperity of the Harlem community.

Engineering Design Projects: Through the First-Year Design Course, CTICE can help local businesses and community-based organizations surmount technical obstacles to achieving their missions. Interdisciplinary Research and Advancement Projects: Through its interdisciplinary courses, CTICE can provide student teams to undertake research projects essential for an organization. Previous projects have included grant proposal research and writing, research on best practices, and survey development and testing. The Columbia-Harlem SBDC: The Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center delivers high quality business counseling and training to residents who want to start a business or improve the performance of an existing one. Workforce Development: CTICE offers workforce development programs for residents from Harlem and other neighboring communities. The programs address different skill levels and computing needs. Living Peace: In June 2008, CTICE was proud to sponsor "Living Peace: Spiritual Approaches to Achieving Inner Peace," a series of seminars and workshops where teachers and leaders of different faith backgrounds presented their  techniques for realizing inner peace.
