CTICE Internships
Each year, CTICE selects a number undergraduate students as paid interns to work on community engagement projects that cannot be addressed through CTICE-supported courses. CTICE interns work in our youth programs, the Engaged Entrepreneurship Program, the Columbia-Harlem Small Business Development Center, Living Peace, and on a variety of administrative and research projects.
CTICE interns are normally undergraduate students who have taken at least one community-based learning course, have demonstrated individual initiative, and possess the ability to work in teams. All internships are supervised directly by a CTICE staff member. All CTICE internships are paid. Work study eligibility is welcomed, but not a requirement to become a CTICE intern.
CTICE also offers a number of summer internships, including a housing stipend, each summer. CTICE hopes to hire 12 interns for the summer of 2009.
If you are interested in becoming a CTICE intern, please contact Jack McGourty at jm723@columbia.edu. Please include a short description of yourself (including year, school, area of academic focus) and the name of at least one faculty or administrative reference.
