With generous support from the Boeing Company's Gobal Citizenship Initiative, CTICE has developed workforce development programming for New York City veterans. Working with the Harlem Vet Center, CTICE enrolled several veterans in our 16-month Service Learning in a Community Environment (SLICE) workforce development program, which trains adult learners for new careers in information technology. 

In  2009, CTICE will launch a new workforce development program just for veterans. We will host two six-week introductory courses in the spring of 2009 to identify qualified candidates for a new 16-month SLICE program, which will focus on training in green business practices. The Veterans SLICE Program will begin in the summer of 2009. Participants will participate in regular peer counseling workshops organized by the Harlem Vet Center.
